| Valencia | Getting from Granada to Valencia Posted: Mon May 5, 2008 06:14 PM UTC
I have been trying to find the most direct way of getting from Granada to Valencia. It looks to be 6 hours by car (accoring to mappy.com), so I would presume there are direct buses. Is there a bus company website where this can be checked or do I just arrange for it once I am in Granada? Renfe only shows an overnight leaving at around 21:00 and arriving in Valencia at 5 AM. Flights all seem to go back to Madrid from Granada for a connecting flight back to Valencia which would entail as much time as simply takng the bus. Any suggestions are truly appreciated. Regards, Karl

Hi, here is the webpage of the central bus station in valencia (sorry, the address is kind of long...)
http://www.valencia.es/ayuntamiento/infociudad_acc for what i've seen there only alsa (www.alsa.es) offers trips granada-valencia. I've had a look at alsa's website: a two-way ticket costs around 80€ (aprox. 40€ 1 way). and the trip granada-valencia takes aprox. 9h. I'm not 100% sure but i believe if you want to travel by train it has to be by night and no train departures during the day. if you were planning to visit Sevilla too then there are cheap flights sevilla-valencia with vueling (www.vueling.com). if i remember right those flights take around 1h. if you are lucky you can get a two-way flight for around 60€ incl. taxes. i'm from valencia. ive only been to granada once . and what i did was: flight valencia-sevilla (1h) and then train from sevilla to granada (3h). i ended up really tired, rushing from the airport to make it on time to the train, etc...so I'm not sure I would recommend this way to anyone, but to be honest as i've not tried the other two ways I can't compare... good luck!
