Philadelphia How to get from 30th St train to Art museum for walkathon
Posted: Mon May 5, 2008 05:36 PM UTC
Co-workers and myself (from NJ) are walking the Susan G Komen 5/11/08.
Can a person walk from 30th Street Station to Art Museum? How far?
We will cab ride if weather does not permit but prefer to trek it.

Philadelphia How to get from 30th St Station to Art Museum

Walking will be easy. Once you're at the 30th Street Station, the Schuykill River will be obvious. Cross over it (you'll be heading east) on the JFK Blvd or the Market Street Bridge. Turn left (north) when you get to 22nd Street (you'll first cross 23rd Street but I don't think pedestrians can cross the freeway on 23rd). You'll soon come to the Ben Franklin Parkway, and the Art Museum will be visible if you look left.
