Will be in Sydney next week on a week's training course. Wonder if anyone can recommend a factory outlet that is accessible to a non-driver?
Does it open til late?

There's heaps you just walk along George Street , you'll find many

There are some cheap shops on George St, but I think you're thinking of more of an outlet-mall with name brands on the cheap, right?

The closest one to the city is Birkenhead Point:

At Birkenhead Point there are around 135 outlets including cK Jeans, Gloweave, Portmans, Oroton, Atelier, Mambo, Canterbury, French Connection (FCUK), Freedom, Country Road, Jigsaw, Marcs, Kathmandu, Spotlight, David Jones Warehouse, Morrissey, Birkenhead

Depending on how much time you have, there is a direct factory outlet (DFO) at Homebush - open 10am to 6pm 7 days. Not the cbd but still accessible via public transport.

marketcity in chinatown(haymarket) has some factory outlet shops. take the bus/walk down to chinatown and have a browse. food court for reasonable asian food on top level.

if you are in the area in the daytime of thursday-sunday, paddy's market will also be on...not late hours.
