I havnt done it before...But Iknow that Eastren area (Dammam) ot baharain are linked through a bridge, around 45 min drive..

You should find taxis in the airport...just double check with the airport

There are two way to do this :

1) Take a taxi straight from the airport. Most drivers will be willing to take you, but be prepared for hard bargining over the price. Bahrain taxis are a notorious rip-off.

2) Take a taxi to the Sabatco bus stop (at their office, not at the central bus station) and then take the bus from there to Dammam. See http://www.sabtco.biz/ (click "Services" and look under "Shuttle Services"). The price of the bus is 5 BHD if I remember correctly.

3) Get your family to pick you up from the airport. If they can spare the time, this will work out cheapest and most convienient.

SABTCO can take you easily to DMM & I'm sure they can then arrange to take you from DMM to Al Hassa easily - look for their offices in BAH arrivals hall (across from Costa coffee). Bahrain to Al Hassa (Hoffuf) is about a 3 hour journey from Bahrain & also means you have to cross causeway thet links BAH to KSA. Dont take a Bahrain cab (if its even possible & driver is willing you will need to re-mortgage your house to pay for cab !!) - assuming also that you have a visa for KSA.
