| Portugal | Weather in Vilamoura advice please Posted: Sun May 4, 2008 03:46 PM UTC
Hi
We are staying in Quarteira, Vilamoura 13 - 20th May. My partner has checked the 10 day weather forecast and it looks like rain on 11 and 12th May. We are so looking forward to this holiday and some sun as the weather has been so awful in the UK. Now it looks like rain in Portugal, we can't believe it! We are in two minds whether to cancel and reschedule for July? If it rains over there is it likely to be for a whole week and dismal like the UK? Thanks for your help. |

Trying to predict the weather can be difficult because of local on the day variations.
This information should be used as a guide only. Here is the average weather for Vilamoura for this time of year. Enjoy your holiday. May. High 71f / 22c Low 57f / 14c Rain 0.83in / 21.0mm Sun % 44

The weather will be great! Specially in the Algarve! In July it will be warmer but this month, even if it rains, it will never rain for a whole week. We're through with the rain, enjoy!

I certainly wouldn't take much notice of a 10 day forecast. At the moment it is 24C and a little cloudy in Albufeira, five miles from Vilamoura. It would very unlikely for it to rain for a week at this time of year.
