I noticed this place when I was driving by the other day. If I'm not mistaken, it's pretty new, which would explain the lack of reviews :-)
Go ahead and try it, then let us know how it was.

I've spoken to someone who stayed there and said no view from the rooms, but the staff are excellent and made the stay worth while for the price. Not a far walk to the beach, very small pool, but good service in general. Hope that helps!

Thanks to spotting this thread on here I'll be staying there for a few days very soon. I'll make an effort to post some comments for those interested.

Well I've just returned from a 5 night stay in The Bamboo House in Karon, Phuket.
Reasonably priced with free transfers I cancelled my previous accomodation booking and went with this, I'm pleased I did. Booking was painless and they didn't even take a credit card or any kind of security against me not turning up. I feel they might change this if people sting them to often. My driver was as promised awaiting me outside the airport and I was taken to the hotel in a nice air conditioned minibus/van. On arrival I noticed the place was clean, well located in Karon and the cold orange juice handed to me as I arrived in the door was very welcome. The rooms are as pictured. Clean, with tea and coffee and a kettle. Two free bottles of water each day and a fridge to store any items picked up from the numerous stores. Just watch the door lock, most hotel doors once closed are locked but not here. You have to push in the lock button on the inside and then close the door. It caught me out the first day and you don't want to be out all day with your room door open. I didn't watch much local/cable TV but used the Apple Mac Mini computer connected to the lcd tv. On the apple are films and an endless amount of music for you to listen to. They've set the volume at a reasonable level too so other guests won't be tempted to cause problems. Not that I ever heard other guests and there were plenty. There's a room safe that was big enough to take my Toshiba Portege laptop and my other valuables. There's free internet on the Apple PC or free internet on wifi if you bring your own wifi enabled device. Breakfast (free) was coffe/tea and fresh fruit juice. A selection of sliced fruit and a cooked breakfast with your eggs cooked as you request and american bacon with sausage and ham if you want it. Topped off with toast and jam. The bamboo House Kitchen is well worth a visit for an evening meal. I had the 4 course set meal at 290thb and couldn't manage it all. It was as nice a Thai meal as I think I've had anywhere. The service is excellent, the staff attentive and polite. The front desk is manned 24 hours a day. I really cannot fault the place and would stay there again without any hesitation.
