I have read the Grand Bazaar is closed on Sundays could anyone tell me the operating times on a Saturday as we would like to visit Saturday evening as our cruise docks 1500hrs Sat & leaves Sunday also any useful touring information would be appreciated and opening/closing times & places to visit If anyone knows also Kusadasi thankyou to all

On Saturdays Grand Bazaar should close around 6:30-7:00 pm. That would give you almost 3 hours, not enough but better than nothing. Shops around Sultanahmet and Taksim will be open on Sunday and that will be enough options for shopping.

if you scroll down the Bazaars are towards the bottom of the page. It lets you check public holidays too.

It looks like they are closed Sunday but you will catch it Saturday. Last time I was in Istanbul Sunday was really busy with people shopping.

The Grand Bazaar is open from Mondays to Saturdays, 9:00am to 7:00 pm, and is located in the Beyazit section of Istanbul, near Istanbul University.

This is my answer to another query in the forum. Just got back fromn Istanbul.
Entrance fees are 10 YTL. There's a big sign in their window they don't take EUR.
Opening and closing times are as ff:
Topkapi- closed Tue; 9am-5pm
Harem- part of Topkapi but additional 10YTL entrance
Ayasofya- closed Mon; 9am-4pm
Basilica Cistern- 9am-5pm
Grand Bazaar- 9am-5pm; closed Sun
Spice Bazaar- closed Sun

You can enjoy a cultural show and dinner at Galata Tower if you are there after 1500 or the many restos in istiklal cadessi and sultanhamet.
