could anyone help please? we are travelling to thessaloniki in june & need to get to volos from thessaloniki airport,either by bus or train,does anyone know the procedure?

Teke the bus #78 from the airport. You have to cross all the city from East to West to find the Railway station or the KTEL bus station. Check the map of #78 bus line, it is in Greek but very clear and easy to understand.
http://www.oasth.gr/routes/route_bl.php?routeb=78bs.jpg The start-terminal at the bottom is the airport, the end terminal at the top is is the KTEL bus terminal. KTEL is the common name for intercity bus services in Greece. The last bus-stop on the map before the KTEL terminal is the Railway Station. Both KTEL bus and train are available to Volos, but I think KTEL bus is more convenient.
