Where to leave luggage for a day?

We will be in NYC (around Union Sq) checking out of our b&b at noon (they have no left luggage facilities) and going to LGA in the evening. Any suggestions where to leave two carry on size bags?

Penn Station used to have luggage facility. Also you can ask any large hotel and just tip the person for a favor.

THay still do. It is open 05:15 am to 9:45 pm

do you need to have a ticket on the train to use this? the website did not say yes or no?

I don't think you need a ticket. Grand Central used to have a left luggage room before 9/11 and anyone could use it. It may be back now, but I've left NY and don't know.
