Hi,I am trying to find transportation from cruise port to Sultanahmet. A lot of the posts indicating that the closest tram station is Eminonu which requires to walk across the bridge to the other side of the city; and those posts are back from 2003 - 2005. I also found a few posts indicating that there is the Kabatas tram station which is close to the cruise port and take you directly to Sultanahmet.

As I am a disabled person and would really avoid walking if possible.

Can someone who has recently cruised to Instanbul or lives in Istanbul be kind enough to advise of of the tram information?

The cruise port is closest to Karaköy tram stop, which is across the Galata Bridge from Eminönü. If you get on the tram there heading toward the bridge, once you cross it is only a few stops to Sultanahmet.

Probably your cruise ship will anchor in Karakoy. You don't need to pas to Eminonu for tram as it passes from Karakoy too. Sultanahmet will be 4 stops from Karakoy. Taxi won't cost too much so keep it as an option.

Yes I agree with Murat.Just take a taxi.It s not expensive in Istanbul and distance is about 4 or 5 km.No need to give time to reach trams stations.
