Does anyone know if the State of Origin Football matches will be broadcast live somewhere in Patong Beach area??? In particular the 2nd game which is being played on Wednesday, 11th June - kick off 8pm Sydney time which is 5pm local Phuket time - and if so, where ??

When I was there in October last year, a few of the bars along Bangla Road had the rugby league grand final playing. So I guess that they might also do the state of origin games. Maybe even Molly Malones on the beach road near Holiday Inn.

This link should tell you when it will be telecast. It also has AFL etc. So at least you will know when to start looking for places and if worst comes to worst if you are REALLY desperate you can hole up in your room with a few of your besties, a coupla coldies and still have a good day :)

I know for sure that the "Aussie Bar" on Bangla Rd will have in on , they have all main NRL & AFL games on.
