My husband and I are taking a tour that includes Mt Etna and ends in Modica. However, we want to end the tour at Mt Etna, since we are staying in Taormina for the night. Is there any public transportation from Mt Etna to Taormina and, if so, what is the approximate cost? Thanks!

There is no public transport from Mount Etna (and by Mount Etna I assume you mean Rifugio Sapienza) to Taormina. Whatever you do, do not go up Mount Etna without making sure you have a way of getting down.

I'm new to this website, so hopefully my response is logged correctly. Thank you for the reply to my initial message. We will likely not take the tour up the mountain but simply stay in Taormina. We appreciate your help!
