We want to make this trip. Any of you have any advice on airlines that make this trip? I know Thai Airlines does, but is there any cheaper or is Thai our best bet?

Have a look at Air Asia...they have a sale now until the 5th of May, I think.

No offence to the previous VTer, but I don't think Air Asia flies this sector. I think the cheapest fare will come from either Air France or Lufthansa. Do check their Thailand website to seek out deals.

I don't know if anyone goes from Ho Chi Minh to Chiang Mai direct. But Bangkok air goes to both from Bangkok.
