I have been considering Iceland as a holiday destination for a while; when would be the best time of year to go?

Iceland Air has some great packages from the States. I'd guess that they would be more off season, though.

I'd suggest you look into hours of daylight. In the depths of winter there are very few hours of daylight and about 20 hours of darkness. In the summer it is the opposite. You'll see more in the summer!
