OK, so I'm not sure this is the appropriate forum for this question, but I'll go for it!
I'm traveling to Greece for 2 weeks and am thinking of renting a cell phone to use while I'm there. To keep in touch back home, book reservations, etc. It probably won't get a ton of use but will be handy. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to go about this or services to use? Is it possible to get one once I arrive or should I take care of it ahead of time? Thanks! |

It might be better to post this in the Greece forum as well, where people who have been there/live there will see it and, hopefully, give you some helpful answers.

All the cell companies have some offers all the time. For around 50euro you can buy a new (simple) cell phone with a sim card that has already 10euros ready for you to make your calls / send sms etc
Then you can buy more credits buying (with 10/20/30euro) almost everywhere in the city. Finally, if you just want to call for reservations to restaurants/clubs/hotels etc you can just buy a telephone card (3euros) and use it in every cabin phone on the street take care, konstantinos |
