I'm beginning to get bitten by the paranoid android here. I've been checking the weather forecast in Phuket daily and it doesnt seem too cheery?

Advice here?

Im landing in 1 weeks time to the beautiful island. I want to see a bit of shimmering sun at least...:(

Hello...Go to saltwaterdreaming.com,scroll down to weather and that will give you a 5 day weather forecast for Phuket...5 or 7 days..??..not sure..??..However,I am sure you will get sunshine with the occasional rainstorms in the afternoon/evening...I will be there in 3 weeks and hoping for great weather too,but if the weather is cloudy and raining,then make the most of it and stay positive and happy....Ya can't change the weather but you can change your mind....Have fun...!!

Don't worry, you will get plenty of sun, the rain tends to come all at once usually late afternoon.

You will probably see some sunshine, just not all day long. The weather forecast shows rain every day this time of year, so that's not an indication. The mistake most people make is that when they see a forecast for rain they interpret that as meaning it will rain all day long. This is rarely the case. Yesterday, for example, there was no rain at all. Right now (as I look out the window) the sky is mostly cloudy, but there are already some breaks in the clouds.

You won't be stuck inside a hotel room all day, so don't get obsessed about the forecasts. Besides, the rain is warm!

Homeanded, great idea to suggest a livecam link! However, the livecam site you provided is for Koh Samui, an island in the Gulf of Thailand. Phuket is in the Andaman Sea. These two regions have different weather patterns.

Yes, I figured, rather than people keeping asking, if they simply click on a live cam they can see for themselves.
We do this whenever possible ... even when we went to Kenya!

Hi all, thanks for the prompt answers. I guess i just need to get chilled and be merry abt the weather outcomes. Make the most of phuket. And Hommanded, ur livecam help is awesome. will look it up on my nex trip to koh samui or maybe miami. LOL. can't wait for Phuket...weeeeeeee....
