I am getting married in Santorini this September and family have booked a hotel in Perissa, as I have never been and we intend to stay in Kamari Beach, can we walk to see our family easily?

click on perissa on map and you will see that there is no straight way. Have GOOD TIME and ná zísete !!!! maria ( Greek wish for wedding).

You can take the ferry that runs between Perissa and Kamari.

There is a hiking trail between Perissa and Kamari that climbs the mountain separating these two beaches. At the summit, this trail will take you right by the archaeological site of Ancient Thera. Bring water!

You certainly can, but not 'easily'. The route is straightforward, however it is a darned big hill, It's about a mile and half and takes about 1-2 hours.
Just take the zizag road up the hill to south of Kamari, once you reach the roundabout take the dirt trail down the otherside to Perissa the way is obvious. During the day, in season there is a taxi boat between the two resorts.
