Hello,

We are going to Barcelona next week and we are trying to figure out which neighbourhood is "the place to be"

We are looking for a neighbourhood with cafes, tapas-restaurants, close to the metro, small car-free streets and most of all beautifull.

What would you recommend us: Barrio Gotic or Born District.

I thought you were in Peru now, as you said in your previous post ("25th april for 2 weeks") to which you never answered.

That's a long story... I will try to explain it to you briefly:

I have two tickets in my drawer to lima, which are unused. Last wednesday i was caught with a high fever and a severe throat angina.

On a doctors advice i had to cancell my trip. Now i am gettin better and my girlfriend and i want to spend the second week well. So then we're off to bnc

According to your description, both options are convenient. Actually both quarters are next to each other.

I personally don't like El Born anymore, as it has turned into a sort of "theme park", crowded and full of expensive boutiques and fake tapas bars.
