Is the mess with the luggage fixed yet? I am landing at terminal 5 next month after an international flight.

As far as I am aware the problems which initially occurred are now sorted (although that is not to say that all delayed baggage has been returned to passengers).

There has certainly been nothing in the news over the past couple of weeks, other than that two BA excutives are 'leaving the company'. Can't imagine why. :-)

The date of the transfer of international flights (as opposed to those from Europe) to T5 is not yet determined. It is going to be a gradual shift, as I understand it. So you should check that that is where you will be coming in through.

Good point. It has caused a bit of a hoo-ha, as other airlines who had planned to take BA's slots at the other terminals are very, very cross indeed.

Check with your carrier: you may avoid T5 altogether!

Hi mate

I work at Heathrow and it seems to have settled down around terminal five and luggage handling is ok. Longhaul flights won't be going into T5 I think till July.

I flew through T5 two weeks ago - our luggage took an hour to get off the plane because apparently it was routed incorrectly...Hopefully things are better! Other than that bit, we had a smooth go through T5. Good eats in there... :)
