Depends on the day of the week and time.
On workdays minimum is 40 minutes (if you catch the right train !!!!) On weekends minimum is 45 minutes, but it is even more important to catch the right train as metro and bus N 100 are less frequent. Bus N100 departs very precisely on time!! I strongly suggest to look up the connection here (web page in English): http://www.dpp.cz/en/ Enter starting metro stop, then Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 as end stop and "via Zlicin" if you want metro B + bus N100. Depending on the location it might be faster to go "Metro A + bus 119" route.

hI Give yourself at least an hour as you may miss connecting with the bus.

Don't bother with a complicated combination, take a CEDAZ collective taxi, very cheap, CEDAZ booth in arrivals terminal if memory serves, they are very visible anyway

The Cedaz minibus option is only cheap if you are travelling in a group. The price is the same for a single passenger as it is for 4.Take the 119 bus from outside arrivals (every 15 mins) and get off at the terminus (Dejvicka Metro station)then take the metro into the city. This will take 30-40 mins altogether. Buy a visitors travel pass from the desk in the airport for the number of days you require and not only can you use this to get into Prague but also on ALL public transport for the duration of your stay.

Agree with Pactari, we purchased the travel pass at the train station as we arrived from Vienna by train, we used the pass for the 7 days in Prague and to travel to the airport for our flight to Rome. Very cheap.
Good Luck, Mike

Packtarl, they (CEDAZ) always fill up the bus, so costs are always split between 5-6 people, it probably works out at £5 per person. Contrast that to the faff of bus + metro when you're unfamiliar with the system, but each to their own.

Im sorry exparisian but that is not true. The cost on Cedaz is the same for 1 person or a group of 4. If you are in a group of 5-8 the cost is higher. Yes they do fill up the bus if possible but they do not split the cost between separate parties or individuals. I know this from personal experience, namely on my first visit to Prague when I didnt know any better.

We will be 3 persons. From what I saw in their web page, they say that :
For a group of 1 to 4 persons (to one address in the centre of Prague with possibility of contemporary transport of other passengers) 480 CZK = I think that the above means we can rent a mini-bus for a total cost of 480 CZK's to go from airport ot the hotel. Am I right or not ???

Yes thats right. Your party of 3 will be charged 480korunas. You will most probably have to share with another party or single passengers up to a max of 8 but the cost will not be shared and your party will still be charged the full 480k. This is reasonable when split between 3 friends, the point I was making is that it is quite expensive for someone travelling alone.
However I should still consider the bus/metro option because it is really simple so long as you know the nearest stop to your hotel. In any case definately purchase a visitors travel pass before you leave the airport for use during your stay. Its much cheaper than buying single trip tickets and gives unlimited use on all bus/tram/metro.

We will be a family so that I have to pay all the money.
From the other hand I already locate the metro stops and other details, so that seems better to me to take bus-metro wich stop in front of the hotel we plan to stay. Thanks again for one more time. Take care + travel a lot. Lois - Thessaloniki, Greece
