Hi! Are there any 3,4 or 5 star hotels near Skopje airport? I'm spending 1 night in Stonebridge Hotel first, then I'm driving to Ohrid for 2 nights, and then back to Skopje via Krushevo. I'm catching a plane very early the morning after, and I was thinking of avoiding Skopje downtown and sleep in a hotel near the airport, but I can't find any. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately there is no Hotel near the airport in SKopje. You will have to stay in stonebridge or Holiday Inn or Alexandar Palas. A Palas i on the outskirts of Skopje but on the other (northen) side.

i hope im not late: there is a hotel called Belvi (Bellevue). Tho its not exactly next to the airport, its located 5 kilometers east of the city, so its in the same direction as the airport (which is also east of the city). It would definetly be easier to get to the airport from there than from the downtown during rush hours (if thats what worries you)

Note: the Ilinden Municipality which is east of Skopje should not be confused with Ilinden street (ulica Ilindenska) which is IN the city (its a street where for example the government building is located).

To avoid confusion I should also mention that a hotel called Bellevue exists in Ohrid too

Note that spot "Ilinden" situated right from the city. Also note the airport sign (with the plane). I hope this helps to understand the approximative position of that hotel
