I am trying to get from the Maritime Terminal to St. Mark's Square. What is the best way to accomplish this. I can't believe Holland America provides no transportation evn for a fee.

i could be wrong about this but i believe the cruise ship wharf is close to piazzale roma - and venice is a very intimate, small town - that works very well - considering - so find out the nearest vaporetto stop and jump onto a vaporetto -

I can't think what transport Holland-America would provide, given that Venice has no roads and it's waterways are so heavily provided with public transport.
If you're ambulatory you can accomplish your trip on foot in something like a half hour by following the yellow signs or the general flow of the crowds. There are also waterbuses called vaporetti, and expensive water taxis. Venice is one of Europe's nicest cities to get lost in so don't worry about it. You'll come out somewhere nice.

I was just at the Maritime Terminal on the NCL Jade. The Jade did have tickets that you could buy from the Concierge desk for about $12 round trip to St. Mark's Square on a water bus. They didn't really advertise it, so I didn't take it. Instead I took the regular water bus - you can buy a round trip ticket for 11 euros right at the pier although they do not take dollars or credit cards. Only cash. And they only sell tickets for that one route.
You can also (as people have said) walk across the bridge to the Piazza Roma and take the water bus down the Grand Canal from there at the main station. Route 1 goes all the way from Piazza Roma to the Lido but you can also get off at St. Marks. You can get a 12 hour tourist ticket, 24 hour or 3 day.
