| São Paulo | Child care, child minder Sao Paulo Posted: Tue April 29, 2008 11:42 AM UTC
Hi,
We are looking for a child minder to help with our 18mth daughter. Staying in Sao Paulo. My wife is Brazilian I am English. Would be very happy to receive telephone contacts, website or emails so we can contact someone to arrange? Will be a short term requirement for next 2-3 weeks and will assist us with our daughter. Many thanks Andrew |

Please read the Travel Forum Guidelines - Travel Questions only.
You really need a reputable child care agency.

"Insisting on answering with a scolding is a detriment to VT, and will eventually make things unwelcome here."
http://forum.virtualtourist.com/discussion-389407- So you popped into the Brazil forum community just to say this, with no prior expressed interest in Brazil or postings here before? Maybe they'll get a helpful answer on the "other" Brazil forum(s).

- my reply was meant not as a scolding, simply to point them in the direction of a more suitable avenue to find an employee suitable to assist in the care of a young child. My interest in Sao Paulo is that my nephew and my niece both spent 10 months there working with young children under the auspices of a NGO, when they graduated and have returned for a month each year for the last 3 or 4 years.

The most suitable avenue to find a job or an employee in Brazilian culture is through a personal contact (not an agency). This forum IMO provides such contacts--people who know, live in, travel frequently to...Brazil. And the culture IS an integral part of travel to a country.
