| Vancouver | Lookin for temporary apartment rental for 2 weeks Posted: Mon April 28, 2008 04:28 PM UTC
Hi there
I was wondering if anyone knows any descent apartments around the downtown area of vancouver (weekly rentals). I will be in vancouver for 2 weeks for vacation/job interviews, and currently looking for room or apartment accomodations between $250-$300 weekly. Thanks Eddie |

You might want to check craigslist (www.craigslist.com) or even put a posting on Couch Surfing (www.couchsurfing.com).
Good luck.

That could be VERY difficult to find during this season within 20 miles of downtown.
You may have to find a B&B or hostel. There are rooming houses downtown that fit the price but your neighbors may not be to your liking. One option to look is www.Craigslist.com but you may only find long term renting. You can try here also http://www.househunting.ca/index.html?branding=vancouversun

I've looked at this before, hoping to skim a cheap trip to Vancouver for a week, and you'll be hard-pressed to find anything. There are people who rent rooms that will occasionally come up on Craig's List for about CA$35/night. But it's nothing spectacular and they're usually in the suburbs and inconvenient to transit.

Maybe vrbo.com
( vacation rental by owners) but you appear to be aiming too low

Craigslist certainly helped. I finally found a place close to oakridge mall in vancouver.
Thanks everyone for your help ;) Ed
