does a $200 pocket money enough in hcmc for 3 days? i got a guesthouse for $57 for 3 days..does the remaining $143 enough for food and tour and a little bit of shopping? just wanted to know so that we know how much money we'll bring thanks:)

WHAT I MEAN IS I GOT A 21$ GUESTHOUSE FOR 3 DAYS(NOT A $57 HEHE)...DOES THE REMAINING $179 ENOUGH? FOR A 3 DSY STAY IN HCMC? WTH A TOUR, FOOD AND LITTLE BIT OF SHOPPING? THANKS

Of course it is enoguh. Food is really cheap in Vietnam ( you can have meal for $2 to $5 if you don't splurge on drinks), haggle for some shopping. Don't know what tours you refer to but I think eating, drinking and shopping for 3 days you will still have money for some tour. Everything is very cheap in Vietnam, don't worry:)

by the way is it cheaper to pay the hotels/ghouse in dollar? or do they also accepts dong? is it cheaper to pay dong instead?

It's the same. I never used dollars in Vietnam , I used ATM machines at the airport to pick dongs. If the dollar isn't your country's currency, I wouldn't use dollars as you will loose money in both transactions.
I didn't pay my hotels directly but they receive in dongs or dollars. Have a great time in HCM city:)
