I know there a bus station next to the train station, and I can take the bus to the my hotel in Huangshan scenic area. Any suggestions on other better alternatives? And scam to avoid?

No "better" alternatives unless you're going with a tour (ewww!) or splurging on a taxi. What were you expecting?
