| Puerto Galera | Hi need help:) Posted: Sun April 27, 2008 06:07 PM UTC
Hi, me and my friends are planning to go to PG this weekend and since it labor day on thursday will the rates be affected?and if so, can we find a cheaper accomodation one that is along the range of 1k-1500?we plan to stay there for 3 days and 2 nights, were not that picky about the room but if it is available we woukd like to find a room with an aircon, do any of you know how much would that cost us?
1.Can we go there without reservations? since we are hoping to get a cheaper accomodation(good for 6 persons?with an aircon) 2. Where is the best place to stay? we both want to relax and also to have fun at night 3. If we opted to cook for our foods, is it more cheaper to do so? our budget is atleast around 1.5K-2K/person would that be enough to last for 3 days? thanks for your kind replies in advance:) |

it depends which day you arrive. if you arrive friday , rates would be cheaper esp if you get there in the morning, you can get a place for 15oo to 2k. Come Saturday, cheapest rates go up to around 3k. i cant be sure but i don't think weekend rates will be much affected by may 1 since it's mid-week.
i can't remember the name of the bar, it's coco-something, a reggae place on the far right portion of the beach (facing the island). it's a chill-place, if you wanna get out of the noisy dance club scene.. if you're a group of 6, i think 2k is ok, especially if you plan to cook your own food (hope that you get a place with a kitchen). another option for food: if you're not too choosy, go to the carinderias towards the inner portion of the island (abt 5-10 min walk). food's a lot cheaper than on the beachfront. plus you can buy de lata and ask them to cook it for you for a minimal addtl charge. thanks for your reply:) I do hope that we could get a place with a kitchen so it could be cheaper than eating outside
