Weather in May

Hi everyone!

I am traveling to Sri Lanka (Taj Exotica) from 2 May.. and just now (nothing was told in the travel agency) I found out that it is a start of the Monsoon.. Please, can someone tell is it bad in the beginning of May??? :( And can I expect to get a tan?? :(

Trying to predict the weather can be difficult because of local on the day variations.
This information should be used as a guide only.

I am now holidaying in Srilanka--It rains intermittently in Colombo and Southern coast--Not every day--Plenty of sunshine everyday --Surely you can expect to get tan--have a Nice Holiday

Hi,

Weather is quite an unpredictable thing in Sri Lanka presently. I have been and living in Sri Lanka for the past so many years and the weather has been strange since of late and unseasonal rain showers are expected any moment. But as the others have mentioned, plenty of sun shine during morning hours and rain in most evenings sometimes heavy and sometimes light. We did not experience rain for three - four days continously last week and it was quite hot and humid around. But it has been raining continously from last afternoon and its gloomy around.

So its quite unpredictable, but will have plenty of sun shine around too and a tan, yes would be no problem.

Hi,

I agree with Treshi, The weather has been unpredictable as a matter of fact Global weather is behaving strangely. Usually in May we are coming out of the hottest time of the year which is April. It has been hot and humid on its day.

So I think it might just depend on how the perticular day is, So pary for good weather, You could be in for great sunshine !

I hope you have a great time in Sri Lanka and you are able to work out a good tan and take it back to Vilnius.
