I will be arriving Juneau around 1PM sept 1st. I heard u can take the bus from airport to about 2 blocks from hostel. it is located at 6th street and harris street.
how do I take the bus from airport? I think I may need to transfer somewhere.... the cab ride is like $25... also sept 4th I will be coming back from skagway via ferry, is there shuttle bus outside of the dock to take me to downtown as well? back to hostel.. Daisy |

I didn't know Juneau had a hostel. What is it called? Let me know how it is after your trip.
There is a bus from the airport to downtown, runs every 30 mins during the day and every hour later on. Airport is close to Mendenhall Valley, where a lot of Juneau residents live. The ferry terminal is a different story- you have to hike a half mile or so to get to the Auke Bay bus stop. Their sked is at: http://www.juneau.org/capitaltransit/pdfs/busschedule5.pdf

$10 a night is a great deal for anywhere in Alaska!
Let me know how it turns out and I'll add it to my Juneau pages. Even if it is a dump that is a great price.
