| Ancona | Hotel recommendation for Saturday night in July Posted: Sat April 26, 2008 11:09 PM UTC
We arrive in Ancona from Split at around 9.30 pm on a Saturday night and will be leaving by train to Roma the next day. Have checked out hotels and although the Jolly Hotel is close to the harbour, it appears that there is a steep climb up steps to the hotel, which is not ideal with luggage. We have also checked out the Fortuna Hotel, which is close to the station and could be ok, but not particularly pleasant. I gather that the Fortuna is a kilometer away from the port, and I have read that often there are not many taxis available.... is it an easy walk at night?
Hoping that someone can give me some good advice, Thanking you in advance. |

You can take the bus number 1 or 1/4 to go to the station.
