Ho Chi Minh City 5-star hotel recommendations in HCMC

Kindly advise for good location at HCMC of newly built 5-star hotel? Must be convenient for shopping and eating places. Kindly advise the air quality in the city too. Where would be good place for "Pho"?

for location, caravelle hotel at dong khoi street is receommended. breakfast is quite hectic though

sofitel is a good choice too if you con't mind walking under the sun, or waiting for a taxi. the rate is a bit lower than caravelle.

Pho 2000 near Ben Thanh market (its claim to fame is Bill Clinton ate pho there); or try Wrap & Roll near Caravelle Hotel.

The best two are the Park Hyatt or Sheraton (caravelle in need of a lick of paint, and also charging ridiculous prices at present). Another, and cheaper, up market is Riverside Renaissance. Stayed or have put friends in all 3 and all are great and right smack in the centre of town.
The best place to get Pho is Hanoi (sorry all the Saigonese, but this is a northern dish and they just do it better), but you should try the Southern dish Banh Xeo, delicious
