Look for a local hotel/B&B outside Verona - we donīt like big hotels

Earlier today I posted this in "Bergamo Forum" - give you an idea about our trip:

2 old couples from Denmark fly to Bergamo by Ryan Air may 2

We have rent a car in Bergamo airport and want to go to Venice. Book 1 night 5/6 may in Venice

Do you have any suggestions what to see on our trip from Bergamo to Venice? We have 3 nights and would like to see cosy towns. But we dont want to book other hotels in advance

so you don't like big hotel (i agree) but there are little an cosy hotels int he citycenter, too. Anyway, a good B&B on the hills is this:

Or a hotel in the quiet plans 20 kms south Verona:

But if you searche the net you can find a lot of solutions, expecially towards Garda lake and Valpolicella.

What do not miss from Bergamo to Venice?
1) Sirmione (and if you have an hour to drive far north, Malcesine) on Garda Lake;

2) Soave (along the main highway, just after Verona). Walled town famous for the wine;

3) A little more south: Montagnana.... One of the best walled town i know (see my page on it)
