| Brussels | looking for an accommodation in Brussels Posted: Sat April 26, 2008 07:06 AM UTC
Hello,
I am 24 years old girl from Bulgaria, currently studying at the University of Helsinki. I am expected to start my traineeship in the EP on Monday, 5th May, however I will arrive there on Friday, 2nd. I still have no idea where I am going to live for three months. I am looking for a dorm/studio/shared flat with good transport connections to the EU area and a convenient monthly rent. Please, let me know if you have anything to offer or advise me in relation to the issue. It’s really urgent!!! Thank you in advance. Greetings from Finland... |

Hasn't the EP provided you with a list of accommodation/organisations/estate agents to contact?
If they haven't, well, shame on them, although I am not too surprised. You will work for them (presumably for not much money), you're coming from overseas, therefore they should assist you. They only exist through our too generous contribution, the least they could do is help you, that would be something... Phone their offices and ask to be put in touch with their accommodation section (they must have something resembling that) and ask a few pertinent questions. If they haven't sought to assist you, if they just expect you to organise your own accommodation from so far away, well, it's an absolute disgrace, again, I am not one bit surprised but play hell with them (politely!) if that's the case. And good luck there, you're brave!
