Belize Belize Honeymoon in August
Posted: Fri April 25, 2008 10:26 PM UTC
Hello,
I am planning our 10 day honeymoon at the end of August and was wondering if anyone could offer some suggestions on things to do and areas to stay in? This is our first time to Belize and we haven't booked at any hotels yet so we are free to travel around.

Since it's our honeymoon, we wouldn't mind some romantic and luxurious accomodations. Also, we would love to experience the culture. My fiance is really into scuba diving and we would love to do other physical activities (zip trekking, etc.). Where would be the best beaches (white sand, clear waters) in Belize? Does anyone know the weather during August?

I've heard that Ambergis Caye, Placencia and Caye Caulker are nice places to visit. It was also suggested to stay in a lodge in a tropical forest.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Jaguar Reef Lodge and Spa is a great place, and also luxurious. Here's a link to a great package I found on google.

Looking forward to 6 nights at Cohune Palms Resort in Bullet Tree Falls just outside of San Ignacio, and then 3 nights at Driftwood Lodge on the northern side of Caye Caulker in late June early July.

We are looking forward to Mayan ruins, caved tubing, the rain forest, and snorkeling.
Give those two sites a look, and have fun!
Oh, by the way Congratulations!!

Hi I am from Belize and i can help you plan your honeymoon .My name is Dorian Rivero I am a proud Belizean and a professional tourist guide. I have been guiding now for 6 years and I love what I do. In my years as a Tourist Guide I've taken thousands of visitors to Belize on some of the most enlightening, entertaining and adventurous tours.

We've done everything from admire panoramic views atop ancient Maya temples to tubing through some of the longest caves in the Mayan world. We've swam with sharks, flew with the birds and "danced with the deer".

I truly do love my country Belize and would love to take you around showing you the sights, sounds and tastes that are apart of what has been appropriately termed "Mother Nature's Best Kept Secret".

I look forward to meeting
