any local tips?
arrive 915 pm on 9May supper shuttle to Omni SFO 10May.... KBOM fireworks show with a concert. Are the fireworks something I should not miss? should we purchase tickets for the pier side concert? (collective soul) $15 any better places to view fireworks? outside cafe maybe.....or park... does the Tornado bar on Haight still serve burgers on Tuesdays? favorite china town restaurant________ best place for a bloody mary__________ best live music_________rock_________ blues__________ going to spend 4 or 5 days in San Francisco, then getting car to expore Sonoma. should I base myself in Larkspur or Novato?_____________ why?__________ any other happenings this period. let me know. cheers, bob knas |

You've got lots of questions... may get more/better responses if you break them up a bit, but here's some info:
KFOG Kaboom is typically VERY crowded (see http://kfog.com/ if you haven't already for more). I would not bother with the ticket because there will be people playing the simulcast everywhere along the water - which is also the answer as to where to see the show: anywhere. There are a couple of waterside bars with outdoor drinking that could be a fun place to be, but again very crowded so get there early. For Sonoma, Larkspur's too far and Novato too dead. Why not Sonoma proper? If it's because it's too expensive, consider Petaluma. Also pretty quiet, but kind of cute by the river. I'll leave the best of questions for others
