It depends entirely on where you go in samos -- I gather you are LOOKING for some youth-oriented nightlife. The village of Pythagoras on the southeast, and Kokkari on the Northeast coast, are "package-tour" towns, and attract a LOT of young British. Kokkari is windy so it gets people who enjoy wind-surfing.
Vathy is mainly independent travelers -- USA (me), Swedish, German. Karlovassi is sorta in-between -- a lot of independent travellers, people who like to hike inland... but there is a University there (math-computer science) which makes for some nightlife of a geeky kind if u know what I mean! Southwest has some beautiful beaches, upscale visitors, lots of yachts, little nightlife. DOes that help?

From every conceivable country, well, mainly from those places where citizens are lucky enough to be able to travel, unfortunately that's not that many. Mainly Westerners from countries who like long binge-drinking sessions. Lots of 18-30 boozy Brits as you would imagine, also Aussies on their Euro tour, American, Germans, Scandinavians, Dutch, etc.
If you're conducting a scientific survey, you're best contacting the Samos tourist board, they must have statistics on tourism, with breakdown of nationalities, ages, etc. If you're on the pull (of a cosmopolitan nature), Rhodes, Corfu, Mykonos or Ayia Napa in Cyprus are probably better.
