Los Angeles Greyhound - LA to San Diego
Posted: Fri April 25, 2008 09:30 AM UTC
Hi All,

I will be in LA on the 26th May and thinking of taking a day trip to San Diego on the 27th to visit the Seaworld. Any idea if there is any land tour available ? My fren suggested taking Greyhound to travel to San Diego and proceed on our own. But I prefer to have it in a daytour kind of package.

If we are taking Greyhound, where is the station located at ? We will be staying around santa monica, is it convenient ? Any information provded would be greatly appreciated.

Looking forward to all the wonderful replies.

Thanks,
Chermaine

if you are staying at a hotel in la, check with them. i'm sure there are several tours like this. it's a popular day trip. sea world is great.
otherwise, take the coaster train from la to san diego. it will drop you off downtown. from there you could take a taxi to sea world.

The Amtrak Coaster will likely be more expensive, but I'd wager worth it.

There are two Greyhound stations in LA. One is in Hollywood, with limited departures, and then the main one....dear God....one of the worst neighborhoods I've ever seen a bus station in...ever. Horrible. And, with no easy way of getting there.

Just to give you a heads up.

I think the idea of booking a tour through a hotel will be the most convenient and inexpensive option, so if you can do that...I'd go that route.
