Geneva best travel options from Geneva to France

I am flying into Geneva Airport on July 5th...and need to get to a small town in the area of the French Alps called Bernin. Wondering the best travel options to reaching my destination from the Geneva Airport. [prefer not renting a car].

Thank you,

From Geneva Airport you may go to Lyon (Satobus serves this route) or Grenoble (Capital of Isère Department, France).
Now watch below link/map :

From Grenoble you may head to A-41 French Road or D1090 (Route Nationalle) to arrive to Bernin. The D1090 is a direct route.
If you have choosed to go to Lyon first you must go to the Bus Station to get a ticket for Bernin. Lyon and Grenoble are very near.

I think the fastest way to using public transport go is via Chambery on SNCF TER trains. This leaves from the train station in the Geneva airport and takes about 2 hours.

You will then pass Bernin (which has no train station) and go on to Grenoble. From either Grenoble Gares or Gare Routiere (this should be in the same general area where the SNCF drops you off according to this Grenoble transport map: http://www.sedeplacer-tag.fr/uploads/Document/WEB_CHEMIN_171_1203938045.pdf ) there is then a bus line called 6021 that goes to Bernin from Grenoble. It can be seen on this map: http://www.sedeplacer-tag.fr/uploads/Document/WEB_CHEMIN_170_1203937974.pdf . The bus line is run by TransIsere and I found a schedule here (www.transisere.fr): http://www.transisere.fr/ftp/FR_Lignes/6021%20Grenoble%20St%20Ismier%20Bernin.pdf

Or I imagine from a Grenoble train station you can then get a taxi to Bernin if the buses are not frequent enough - it is about a 15 minute drive.

I found a train schedule for TER on SNCF (TER is the regional French train service) which ends July 5th ... best to confirm by phone or in writing if this is still in effect on July 5th (inclusive). http://www2.ter-sncf.com/Images/02aff_tcm23-21047.pdf

There are only about 4 trains a day so if this is not convenient to your travel times, a car is likely best. There are also airport transfer services that operate from Geneva airport to many ski stations in the Alps, but I do not know of one that goes to this small town. Also once you are in this town, if you do not already have a friend meeting you with transportation I would imagine your options are limited.
