Forum Question Posted By: Replies:
Vancouver TransLink BC
Posted: Thu April 24, 2008 12:53 PM UTC
We looking at using day passes for our 3 day visit to Vancouver in September which the site says are $9CAD.

http://www.translink.bc.ca/Transportation_Services/Fares_Passes/fare_pricing.asp

What it doesnt tell us is whether we can purchase these as soon as we hop on a bus. (email link not working).

Any help is appreciated

They are not sold on busses. At the airpoert there is a 7-11 store on the ground floor of the Domestic terminal that sells them. Also the Pharmasave across the hall.
If you are taking a taxi or Airporter bus to your hotel there will be a store very close where you could buy them.
Use this site to map the closest seller http://www.translink.bc.ca/gmap/default.asp

Awesome, thanks for that info. Is a dealer right near our hotel :-)

We arrive at 7.45am on a Sunday morning & will grab a taxi to our hotel. The Ramada Vancouver/Metrotown. It's from here we plan to grab a bus to Joyce Skytrain station and head to Waterfront, grab a Seabus to Vancouver North to check out Grouse Mountain & Capilano Suspension Bridge.

One other question if we may.....the area where our hotel is in Metrotown...across the road from Central Park. Just wondering what the area is like for safety of walking around?

Thanks again
Col & Sue

Colin, sorry, i'm a bit done in tonight. My brother lives next door or close to your hotel and it is a very safe area to hang around. At night just don#t be in the middle of the park. if you want to meet for lunch or a drink e-mail me. I will do my best to drang 1 or 2 VTers along
