Hi There

What is the easiest/cheapest way of travelling from Birmingham International Airport to Nottingham? We are arriving in Birmingham at 15h45 on a Tuesday afternoon.

Thanx!

By train.

www.nationalrail.co.uk for times and fares.

Put 'Birmingham International' in the search box. Journey takes a couple of hours or so, with at least one change.

Coach is cheaper but slower (and prone to traffic delays). Takes 3 - 4 hours, with a change of coach.

www.nationalexpress.com for times and fares.

Its quite an easy journey as Leics says. Basically you can take any train from the airport going north to Birmingham New Street. Change there to a Crosscountry train on its way from Cardiff to Nottingham.
The bus is slow due to our heavy traffic - use the train if you can.

Agree entirely. Trains for preference every time in the UK (although they are not cheap).

you will have to go into birmingham my daughter has done this trip a few times i think from the coach station the bus was about £10-15.
the train from new street about £20,but ticket prices vary depending on the time of day.although they are supposed to be making this easier.
