How can I get to Kawaguchiko region (onsen area by Mt. Fuji) from Tokyo? This is really important; if you could please reply asap. Thanks in advance! |

We took a day tour from Tokyo to my. Fuji. It was great. The hotel was able to arrange it easily.

We also booked a tour of Hakone/Mt. Fuji and it was awesome. But to answer your question the quickest way is via speed train (Shinkansen) from Hammatsucho station. But for ease and convenience, book a tour which we did thru our hotel concierge. You pay direct to the tour operators on the day (of your tour)!

I went to Kawaguchiko from tokyo by using JR as i have a JR Pass, but have to pay another 2000 yen more for express.
check out this website.. http://www.digi-promotion.com/tokyo-surroundings/K But i think Hakone area has more Onsens and looke more like a place for onsen... maybe you should go to Hakone instead :)
