To those who have been to Angkor Wat, is it necessary to take antimalarial tablets? What is the government policy for tourist regarding malaria?

We didn't take anti malarials when we went to Thailand, Laos, Vietnam or Cambodia.
Check your Government's own health warnings for up to date info

don't really need to take it unless you're staying in the countryside. Just use insect repellant with 25% DEET. I don't think there is any government requirement.

Agree we have not taken malaria medication on our visits to Cambodia, Thailand, Laos or Vietnam just used repellent in the evenings. never had any problems.
