Hello,
You can check this company, they are across Central Station so easy to find... http://www.lovers.nl/Programmes/Default.asp?LocaleID=1033 1 h tour is 11 euros Cheers Dennis

Does the 1 hr tour start near the Central Station and return you back to the starting point?

The canal boats are doing a roundtrip, so they always return at the starting point.
There are companies across the Central Station (very close) and a little further (10 minutes walking) along the Damrak street and Rokin street. See: http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/tp/7ce01 Contrary to the above, there is another service called Canal bus, where you can hop on/off at several points in the city. Peter Jan v, do you have to buy a new ticket each time you hop off and on again? Thanks
