Have to book a hotel in Brussels for 1 night next month. Can't decide which one. I'm happy with any number of good hotels in the city, so it boils down to location.

My meeting is at Ave Louise, and someone has suggested the Bristol Stephanie. Anyone any thoughts on it?

However, I like to be able to get the train in from the airport and then just fall into the hotel from the station. I can't stand the stress of the way taxi drivers drive there, and can't be bothered with a metro journey after the train.

That usually means somewhere like the Meridien, Novotel or Ibis (at Central Station), depending on who's paying!

Don't mind the metro up to Ave Loiuse for the meeting.

Anyone any better ideas?

i would suggest the Scandic Grand Place.....walking distace from the centraal station n yummy complimentary breakfast:)

if u book thru a travel agent u'd get a good deal.we got a superior double room for under 100euros a night!!

You could also take the train to the north station and stay in the Sheraton, Thon hotel, City Hotel or another hotel at Place Rogier. From there you can take metro line 2 from Rogier to Louise, so you don't even have to change metro lines to go to your meeting.
