It's not easy to find a hotel for a family of 5 which consist of my mother, 2 kids besides my husband and myself. Would be greatful if any members can recommend any hotel and places of interest especially for the kids (aged 11 & 13yrs). By the way, is Xi Men Ding a good place to stay? We have 3 full days to spend our time in Taipei. How's the weather during June? Any recommendation is greatly appreciated.

I have a section posted on things for kids in Taipei:You have to scroll down to the section. http://www.freewebs.com/crazyazn/ Windows on China is also very interesting : http://www.woc.com.tw For Hotel, you can try the Quad room at Neijiang and ask for an extra fold out: http://www.neijiang-hotel.com.tw/ and inexpensive- Good 3* - lots of Singaporean have stayed there. Two things to note: You have to ask for room without glass bathroom door in their new wing and to block a couple of xx channels which is common here in most 3* hotels. Just call them directly to book. Its just off Ximenting and close to the MRT for convenience. Kids will like the Ximenting area.

Trying to predict the weather can be difficult because of local on the day variations.
