| Vienna | Apartments in Vienna Posted: Tue April 22, 2008 03:18 PM UTC
Hello
Need some help in deciding which apartment to rent: 1. Schweizertalstrass 5, 1130 2. Rossauer Lande, cross street is Gruenentorgasse District 9 3. Arnsteingasse 25 District 15 I think all 3 are close to public transportation so getting around is not a problem right? Would like a location close to restaurants, bakeries, supermarket and coffee house so we don't have to go far after a day of sightseeing. Thanks for any tips/advice. |

Hi,
my choice would be Rossauerlände as best location; it is very central, in a nice neighborhood and within walking-distance to Viennas "Ringstrasse" in the first district. Schweizertalstrasse lies in a nice, more suburbian neighborhood (about 30 minutes from city center).Arnsteingasse would be my last choice. Good Luck and greetings from Vienna !

Thanks very much for the information.
Can I ask you more about district 13 because that's the apartment I like the most? Is it a quiet neighborhood with not much around (like restaurants)? Thanks

Hi,
yes, it's a more quiet and more upscale neighborhood, in a western district of Vienna (not too far from Schoenbrunn-Castle); it is not that much around compared to 9th district, but there are also restaurants and supermarkets. For getting into the city center you have to use public transport, available nearby!

Based on your criteria "close to restaurants, bakeries, supermarket and coffee house" there is no doubt:
1) Rossauer Lände, great location, near everything. 2) Arnsteingasse, not too far from Westbahnhof and Mariahilferstrasse, neither too far from Schönbrunn, not the prettiest neighbourhood though 3) Schweizertalstraße, far from basically everything apart from supermarkets (I guess), but lovely neighbourhood. Also clearly the worst in terms of transportation. Getting home at night might be tricky.
