Check with your tour operator as to how much spending money you will need. Travellers cheques are a good way of carrying cash around, but you may not be able to convert them easily outside of the towns/hotels to pula (local currency). Know what exchange rate to expect so that you are able to ensure that you are not ripped off. Trip sounds lovely. Have a blast.

Hi,
What country are you from? Please complete a bit of your profile as it helps us. TC's will be fine at Barclays Bank in Gabarone, but useless on safari. Bots is low crime. What is your itenerary? You could get some Pula, for free, in quite a few distant ATM's here and there. I did. I carried cash (sterling), debit and crdit cards. You can get a comission free Credit card from the Post Office. Eamil me and I will send you an application. Debit card? email me - free as well. I am guessing you are from the UK? All the best, DAO
