| Toronto | About Movie and TV Tours Posted: Tue April 22, 2008 04:04 AM UTC
Are there any available in downtown Toronto, studios, or live scenes being shot form movies or tv shows I could see?

I don't think that there are listing of where movies are being shot around the city, but if you're here in the summer the University of Toronto campus is almost continuously used for TV, movie and commercial shoots. It's not uncommon to see the trailers all along Hoskins, Harbour and Devonshire, or to get caught up in a scene in one of the historic buildings (around Kings College Circle or Charles St W).
You might also try the CBC website (www.cbc.ca) to see if their Toronto studio - on Front Street right across from the Metro Convention Centre - offers tours or guided visits. CityTV doesn't have tours, but on any given day you can usually be included in the audience of MuchMusic's Much on Demand by simply passing by the studio at Queen St W and John in the late afternoon.

You could try looking at these sites for what is filming in the city.

Not specifically about TV/movies, but if you have the chance take a look at CP24 (Channel 24 City TV) for news about Toronto, especially the morning show "Breakfast TV". Another visitor to Toronto commented on VT that it helped her find out about things to do and events happening in Toronto each day.
