hello, i'm trying to cut down on flying- any tips on taking the train for a return trip from london to carcasone in mid-june?

I am travelling almost the same journey in early June but by way of Nantes where friends live.

If you book up now you can get some really good prices.

www.eurostar.com currently has a daytime journey from London to Toulouse for £165, taking about 9hrs 30 minutes. There are no direct fares on offer to Carcassonne.

Carcassonne is another 40 minutes or so down the line from Toulouse.
