Where to Stay??

Hi There,

my boyfriend and I are planning a trip to Sharm El Sheikh in October. We're not sure however what hotel to stay in. We like the look of The Crowne Plaza, The Radisson and the Sheraton but we will choose based on the best location.

Firstly I'm hoping someone can confirm for me the differences between Sharm and Naama Bay. Are they two seperate towns? If so which is better?

We would like to be close to a town centre and be close to markets etc. However if there is reliable public transport between resorts and the towns then it wouldn't be so bad being a little bit further away.

If someone could confirm the locations of all or some of the 3 hotels I have mentioned I'd be really grateful (unfortunately google maps isnt the most accurate for hotel locations!).

Naama bay is the lively,centre area of Sharm.All 3 of the hotels you have mentioned are fairly out of the way.A hotel in Naama bay would probably suit you down to the ground.

stay in the renasaunce,,,we found it the best in sharm :)

Both times we visited we prefered to stay in Naama Bay. Last october we stayed in Helnan Marina Sharm Hotel at the southern end of the bay, close to the city centre. The other time at the other end of the bay. There are many hotels along the promenade in between.

Thanks everybody for all your tips on where to stay. We've booked the Hilton Sharm Dreams resort in Naama Bay. We're going in September and can't wait!!

Good choice.Nice and close to the nightlife/heart of the action but not to close to hear the noise that goes with it.Have a good time.
